I was a child when you stood up against racial oppression for African Americans. Had it not been for you, I would not have had the opportunities I had in my life. I thank you sincerely and I try to live my life working towards seeing
your dream which is also my dream come to fruition.

amen!
Happy Birthday, Sir. I wish you were here now. I miss you. Your dream was mine as well. Here is to dreamers who work to make their dreams become reality.
Merelyme and Diane,
It was good to see your comments today. I just left a site, matter of fact it was the first blog site I ever visit when I was upset and questioning the Democrat Party, this site lead me to some other sites from its links to sites here in Tennessee. Good I have other sites besides theirs that I visit now.
To make a long story short I knew some of the people who commented were bigots based on reading what they had to say, I did not think the host himself was one, but today I question that. My heart is actually heavy right now for thinking he was above that. I am now questioning if all of them are that way.
I am very happy with the fact I had decided not to be a loyal supporter the Democrat Party and I became an Independent. Unless, a white person has walked in a black man or woman skin you would never know what it is like to be black in America. I honestly believe there are many whites in America who believe in equality for ALL. That is the very reason why I give the benefit of the doubt to Caucasians I would trust.
Nonetheless, it still HURTS when you trust and you discover they massacred as friends when they were truly bigots all the long. My husband warns me all the time, but I still have hope for change.
Sorry, for not being around your site for a couple of weeks, but sometimes I get so rapped up in the political season. I will visit this week thanks for stopping by.
